Not bad, but the sound seems very colored. I guess everyone has their own taste. I have had a few Marantz receivers and I think they are some of the best looking. As far as the sound goes I prefer Sansui. Never the less nice looking gear!

I just bought a marantz model nineteen for $3.00 at a thrift store, doesn’t seem to have a scratch on it. The scope doesn’t work and the sound could be much better I’m sure. I’ve read that paste inside the old capacitors has probably dried out. So how about emailing me the 19 schematic lol, (it would help).

i just got a model 19 from my dad that i'd like to restore. don't know if its worth it though. oscilloscope doesn't work and i think one of the channels is out.

Yes, it is worth to restore this wonderful receiver. Please search for vintage restore stores in your country. The Telefunken Scope Tube is still available on Ebay sometimes.

This video has caused me to spend loads of cash on Marantz receivers and restoration! Hope you are proud of yourself! Now I am hooked..No telling where this will stop! But now I am in too deep to back out! ... Oh...The Humanity!
