SouthTube3 was just about the rifght size, and I know it will be more fun next year because now I'll have a whole year to get to know some of the crew...

888 was just too big! I knew almost nobody there, but I did make a few new friends, and those connections are lasting to this day...

I think 888 appealed to me because it would have been a way of meeting a lot of people, albeit flleetingly, that i will probably never get to meet.

A fleeting meeting is better than no meeting at all.

But, i do understand about the smaller gatherings & meet ups :)

My impression was the same as yours... A lot of things were going on and getting into deeper conversations that I wanted to have didn't happen... A lot of the people knew each other already and I had never heard of a lot of them.

Skype is great, but it really burns up time!

I went to the first London gathering and remember it with great affection, not least meeting the Pope! However I doubt I would make it a habit, for some reason it doesn't appeal now although meeting individual YouTubers is fun

I went to the 2nd London gathering & also vivdly remember meeting the Pope! I enjoyed that gathering & would happily do it again. Partly because it was on a fairly small scale, so you got to actually talk to people, like Zipster08 :)

Although i remember talking to you, i'll be honest & say that i didn't really know you at the time. But now i feel i'd have much more to say & talk about. Does that make sense?

Was Nashville really a year ago? That's crazy. We did not really get to talk that much. I did not get the money together to make it to ST 3. I like connecting with everyone there but I wish I was not so shy at first. It was so fun to meet everyone but I did not feel truly comfortable until day two. There are a lot of UK people I would love to meet.
