I've thought this song was hilariously melodramatic since the first time I heard it. (The dog ATE THE BABY? WHAT?! Oh wait, not really.)

Well, the lyrics and the actual story of the song are sad, but the performance of it I considered to be funny considering all of the elements that are present.
