White Catholic priest defends Rev. Jeremiah Wright pt1

Former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is not a racist, he's not anti-American or a bigot according to those that know him. Catholic priest, Michael Pfleger, is the lastest person to speak out in defense of the reverand following the firestorm of controversy generated by mainstream media. Pfleger speaks of the double standard in media coverage based on race, and racial injustices that still exist today in America. A couple of things here are worth noting:

- Former Minnesota Governor, Jesse Ventura, recently said some comments that could be labeled anti-American, hateful, and anti-white. But the media has largely ignored that, even though he compared America to Nazi Germany.

- Hillary Clinton's former pastor, Dean Snyder, defended Rev. Wright.

- Fox New's Sean Hannity, who widely pushed the Wright story, was long time friends with neo-Nazi shock jock radio host, Hal Turner, a fierce, proud and open racist.

- Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was also critical of US government policy (the Vietnam War), social injustice and racism in America. At times he was demonized by media in his time as an anti-American communist, an evil hypocrit, and a demagogue.


- Neither Bill O'reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Karl Rove or Glenn Beck has ever enlisted in US military service. But they've all slammed Rev. Jeremiah Wright as a hater of America. Reverand Wright did serve in the military as a marine, not long after integration of the military. Wright also attended to former President Lydon B. Johnson, and was a guest of Bill Clinton in the White House.

For the record, Karl Rove, who might come under criminal investigation now for interference with our justice system, had several deferments to help him dodge the draft. Beck has a history of drug abuse and alcoholism. Hannity is a high school graduate and former construction worker and bartender. Limbaugh is a college dropout, thrice divorced, with a history with drugs who recently encouraged listeners to break the law to corrupt democratic primaries and "bloody" Barack Obama.

There is NO country in this world that has done everything the right way. People have to realise that nations do things that are in their best interest, does not mean it is right. Anyone who thinks that America has not done some awful things in the world, knows NOTHING about the deeds of America. Iam not bashing America, but I do know that tjey and Other governments have done things that its citizens know are not right.

"radical"... Well yeah... When you're a Priest it's kind of a all or nothing deal... You are a Priest, not a Pastor. You have no wife, kids, no job, no income. You have the basic living standard paied by the church, and you have God... If you become a Priest, you better be a "radical" or you're gonna be pretty unhappy with your life... =P

Jesus never said how to run organized religion, and not judging is not the same as not cooperating with authorities to get rid of sexualabuse towards children. When Jesus tells us not to judge, he does not mean that we shouldn't judge others, he tells us how to do it: "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.". What is the problem of someone criticizing the criminal actions by a country's rulers? I do it about my sell out criminal (past and present) rulers, and I believe I am a true patriot.

"Father" Pfleger is to whites what "house niggers" were to blacks -- a sellout, self-hating, anti-white, skanky infestation pretending to be a person of stature in the community. The Roman Catholic Bishops need to grow some testicles and kick this clown's ass out of the priesthood.
