It wasn't until they installed multiple mechanical bulls in "Gilley's Club," founded by Mickey Gilley and Sherwood Cryer, that Pasadena became famous. The famed movie Urban Cowboy was filmed in Mickey Gilley's club. With 17 number one hits, restaurants, night clubs and a theatre in Branson Missouri, Gilley certainly has proven his staying power.
