Scrubs is actually coming back for a "9th" season, though the show's premise will be changing. Most of the main characters will only have small 6-episode roles, with the new premise focusing on Turk and Cox teaching medical school. The season will start airing sometime after the new year

yh but isnt that just the spin off i think they end the whole thing unles it has j.d in it as it is based around his life and he does the narrations and the fantacies if they carry on then there just goin to kill a great show

there will be, ABC renewed it, though it's premise will be changing as a few main characters will no longer be regular cast members, including J.D.

Scrubs without JD isn't scrubs at all. I'd rather have it end gracefully, than die in a pool of blood and renewal script writing.

i think scrubs is one of the best series around but they should have just ended it. the new series is just horrible and it aint the same with these different faces.

Season 8 had the perfect ending. I was ready to say they did it perfectly throughout the 8 years. But after watching scrubs season 9 episodes 1-3, Im slightly disappointed.

Also featured are Turk, Cox, and Denise, the only other returning characters from season eight, wearing scrub masks that are strangely upside down, distorting what would have really been happy faces into sad faces, while J.D.'s mask is propped on his head like a third eye. The other three characters are the newbies of both the hospital and the show, named Lucy, Drew, and Cole.

There's been a great new cast photograph of the mostly new main cast of Scrubs' ninth season. Not suprisingly, it appears that J.D. (Zach Braff) is having a central role in the series, and no, that is not a pun.
