yea thats perfectly normal i would say. Ive been dieting for about 2 months now and I get these cravings for something "unhealthy" and i do feel guilty if i eat it. It gets so bad i really feel like my day is ruined if i indulge in what i crave. but it hasn't really profoundly effected me but it is a "mind fuck" as you say because its a constant struggle within yourself that comes up throughout the day.

Just got to keep telling yourself as long as you include healthy things in your diet and workout normally eating or drinking (alcohol in my case lol) the not so healthy things wont really effect you on such a profound level that your mind says it will.
