Candytron is a PC demo created by the infamous Farbrausch; a demo group that regularly dazzles the scene with artistic demos.
This particular demo is a 64k PC demo. For the n00bs: 64k is about the size of a 3.7 second mp3. Within this space they managed to cram a sculpted female body in a artistic 3d environment,3d animation, camera movement, music score, synth/drum/reverb routines and speech synthesis to form this beautiful demo.
My specific interrest for this demo was the music by kb or Kebby. (www.kebby.org) Since I have some experience with making music inspired by Commodore 64 game music I decided to give the PC scene a go by making a rock version of the Candytron demo music. Hence this YouTube entry consisting of the original Candytron video overlayed with my rock version of the music.

I predict one day we [the demoscene] will have 64kb intro with realistic voice singer, like within this remix!

@fcycles Up to this day, what they have produced in a handful of kb's for the Breakpoint event has always amazed me. Who knows, maybe one day they can fly to the moon with 64kb! Oh, wait a minute... They've already done that. :P

@lis101092 Это действительно шедевр. Но мой главный интерес музыки. Довольно достижение для такой маленькой демонстрацию!

whoa why didn't I know about this, great cover, my only problem is that the chorus part vocoder vocals don't really "sync"

@crocz: Yeh, UR kinda right about that. I've heard other ppl stating the same. I find cross-rhythm stuff a bit more difficult than straight 4/4. Glad U like it anyway. :)
Greetz!
