I am devastated Ryan Moats was denied the chance to visit his mother-in-law during her last few minutes, & that the entire family could not be together when she passed, all because Officer Robert Powell is an insensitive jerk (and Powell probably delayed releasing Ryan Moats on purpose just to show his "authority"). May God bless Jonetta Collinsworth & her surviving family, and may Powell get the punishment and humility he so richly deserves! I hope Texas does the right thing & FIRES Powell!

I think that Ryan Moats showed a lot of class after everything has been done and said. He could've lashed out, but he and his wife showed that they were much bigger than that. I hope they can heal from the terrible loss, and their family will continue to bond together and support each other during their loss.

I think the officer didn't even know Moats was a football player, and now he is shocked. It shows what goes around comes around. Now look at who got jerked over? BTW, the chief only show concern because he is NFL player, if he was regular guy he wouldnt care.

Reminds me of a loser I knew from Springfield, Virginia and how he boasted about his security guard position. He was an overglorified mall cop for gosh sake. Moats and his Family, and anyone who loves justice should be outraged. The police officer projects a negative perception of law enforcement. Without pity this individuality examplified his lack of concern. For what it's worth he needs to reprimanded, and suit up on the football field, and be stomped play after play. What a atrocious act of nonchalantness at it's best. Stay up Ryan! It will get better.....
