@FWYGINOND the form of writing may seem different but they actually have a common source look at the wikipedia article 'History of the Hebrew alphabet' I think Arabic's cursive form disguises the common origin.

I like it - and I think the best looking young men and women are found in Israel! I am all for more people being introduced to Hebrew. It's a wonderful language. I don't think formal Arabic is very similar to Hebrew though but there are some words that must have the same origin because they sound so similar.

Is it so hard to ask for one bloody song in Hebrew without a million hate comments towards Jews and Israel, or fucking debates over who holds the right to Israel?
