@MFPhoto1 By the way, the siren you hear is the one used most , and in Ashkelon. In Sderot and surrounding places there it is heard as a woman saying ''zeva adom'' (red colour), which is actually more frightening than the siren. Yesterday I heard the red colour alert as the bank I was in is out of Ashkelon a little way.

@MFPhoto1 That is absolutely correct. More people should know the facts. Well done. They do try to hit the power station, not just homes.I live in Ashekelon. We had colour red alert yesterday at about 9am, I was in the bank, We all had to go to the shelter. Luckily the Grad missile(not a rocket) only hit a car, but it was metres from blocks of flats. Miracle really no one was hurt at all.

Ashkelon is the site of an Israeli power plant that supplies Gaza with over 70% of their power. Before Israel struck back at the terrorists, Hamas would target that plant. Often Hamas would shut off the supply on the Gazan side and blame the Israelis. Israel gets little, if any, compensation for supplying Gazans with electricity.
