  • Very well-acted, but the music is intrusive.

  • nice work...carter was really good....I'm doing this in acting class now, this impersonation seems right on...

  • Nice work, guys. Really nice work.

  • What is the music?

  • i agree... and writers write lines for a reason... this is nowhere close to what the actual lines in the script are. its way too slow and makes carter seem evil rather than just shallow. takes the humor away.

  • I hate to piss on your parade here and be in disagreement with the comments before me but after having seen the play earlier tonight at London's Trafalgar Studio I must say that this version of the script is so much slower and not nearly as funny as the performance I saw. Make it snappy!

Plus, re music, the play did have a soundtrack, provided by Orbital, but only between set changes and it was loud and rocking!

So don't take this scene for an example and watch it for real in a theatre.

  • this is really well made. The actors had a great sense of the characters and material. Labute can be tough, but when done right, like here, it hits a natural nerve that most playwrights strive for with their actors. I'm sure he would be very pleased with this performance. Kudos

  • Hey? I was wondering if you can post ( if you have it) the part where Tom and Helen first meet. You know in the restaurant? I would really apreciated if you did have this. Much loe to you expelliramus.

  • "Is that a yes? I'll yell in the office!"

Thanks for posting this, expelliramus. a group of us are doing this scene for our class and it's nice to see how these actors said certain lines that seemed ambiguous to me. :D

  • Wow... That was great! Fantastic character work and shots. The music in the background added a nice touch, too, without being distracting. I can tell a lot of talent went into making this.
