@Uldihaa the game's story was cheesy already with the jesus thing. they should have left it scifi and kept the first graphics.

@juredddd Considering it was a compression of two games' storyline, eliminated a huge chunk of character development and was the primary reason an entire game was skipped... Yeah, it was that bad.
The original plan was probably something like this:
Episode 2: Y-data. Jr and Shion's pasts. Conflict with MOMO and her "mother". Hints of Ormus. Jr vs. Albedo.
Episode 3: Ormus is primary antagonist. Second half of game on Militia.
Episode 4: Shion's father.
Episode 5: Current Episode 3.

Please let me stop you all know where you all saying that 2nd game screwed everything up well that is in the same time not so far from the truth and in the same time very far from the truth.
1. we all know that combat system was kinda disappointment
2. it was hardest of all series
3. maps were too long
But you all should know that 2nd part really gave you so many things to do not even to mention 2nd play through and optional bosses so it wasn't really that bad Try consider that .

there might not be a 4th game though. the whole reason they stopped making the Xenosaga series is that the 2nd game got poor sales so they limited funding. so don't get your hopes up like me.
