Union Pacific 1533(SP) FRA Inspection Special - 11/3/09

1) Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #798(792) departed Glendale Depot, headed to Union Station, Los Angeles, CA.

2) Amtrak Coast Starlight #11 went through Glendale Depot.

3) UP 1533(Patched Southern Pacific unit), 3839 with FRA inspection car(219) went through Glendale Depot, headed to Union Station, Los Angeles, CA.

4) the same train above with going away shot.

Yeah we saw the engine on the front (Correct me if I'm wrong) it was a Southern Pacific SD40.

nice catch. i posted a Video Response of my catch.

The FRA car can power itself, but doesnt have In Car Signalling capabilities, thats why on both our vids, it is being pulled by a locomotive.
