Also for Welshmen ! The Brythonic warriors wore them in the 5th century. but we call them Cilts because we don't have a " K " in the Welsh Alphabet. in lots of the Celtic nations Kilts/Cilts are coming into fashion again. But I think your right, its a Celtic thing and not an object of piss taking
