As much as i love mechs we would have to find a whole new type of power source before we would see anything with some practical use except mabye in construction

the closest thing to a mech we will see in real life is small ones. Mechsuits first, then probably around car or tank sized mecha. Anything bigger will just be a target and a waste of money.
