Graphic new pictures have emerged of the riots that sparked the Chinese crackdown on Tibet. Australian tourist Michael Smith caught much of the unrest on his camera, including the first pictures of Chinese troops moving to restore order.

@asdfgasfwq Democracy has nothing to do with being western. It is a fundamental tool that gives people Freedom. So you do admit that you would like more freedom. And that is all im saying too. Right now the govt rules the people. FACT. Tibet was never a part of China historically, the invasion of 1950-51 proves that. Tibet is a party of China now but that does not change the fact that freedom is not there. Religion, speech, media, opinion are all missing in China.
