Meet June and Michael, a couple who rescue animals and share their home with between 40-60 strays at any given time! it is a pursuit that drains away all their finances, energy and time and all because they respect and love animals and cannot bear to ignore a creature in need. I just got back from 2 weeks holiday in Cyprus & although I loved the holiday I'm still having nightmares about the cats fending for themselves without help. Yes the holidaymakers are feeding them but many of them desperately need veterinary help. I was involved with a hotel cat who had been kicked & sadly after 4 days she had worsened & wasn't responding to treatment. I was with her when she was put to sleep - my heart is still breaking !!!!

It is an overwhelming situation. So many needy animals, so few people who care. You are amazing people June & Michael. I'm posting your video to a Canadian Feral Cat Rescue organization, in the hopes that a few Canadians might be inspired to help too. Good luck.

there is similar situation in Turkey, A british lady her name is Jeannie, came for vacation to Marmaris and got involved with strays she could not leave them helpless..So she stayed still living there in her own land and taking care of 200 cats...but this is not easy..it is really hard work and spceially pet food is very expensive..

Why is it so bad in Cyprus??? what are the reasons??? are people leaving there??? my wife and I want to live in Cyprus, we find this really distressing.
