This is part two of how to set up Ubuntu when first installed. I demonstrate how to install a program and recommend a handful of programs which are:
amsn msn clone

winff as above
kdenlive similar to windows movie maker
kino - as above
avidemux video cutter
cheese webcam booth record from your webcam
k9copy copies encrypted dvds
mandvd slideshow and dvd maker
pulseaudio configures sound devices
recordmydesktop desktop session recorder
gparted partitioning tool
bleachbit privacy cleaner
vlc media player
sound converter

I then discuss how you can customize ubuntu by changing the theme and changing desktop picture. I also talk about how to set up the screen-saver.

  • i recetly learned there are 3 versions of flash for ubuntu you gotta make sure you install the official version google how to install correctly flash

  • Mmm, I'm having trouble watching youtube videos on Ubuntu, they usually play without sound or lag so much you can't play them at all. It might be a problem with my graphics card, though, since I'm only using the Wubi version.
