try playing any keys song with these 'gh chords' charted on a guitar... they will eventually transform to ho/po chords... which makes fingering physically very similar if not exact

Re-record/Cover is the same thing. It's not the original therefore it's a cover IMO. I mean, Edgar Winter may have played it for WoR, but it's not the original studio version that was popular.
