  • Great playing Roger. Also I love this organ! I know of several Allens in my area that will easily outplay some of the pipe organs in this area. I will never understand why some people say that the worst pipe organ in the world is better than the best digital organ in the world simply because the pipe organ is a pipe organ.

Does anyone know how often this organ is being used?

  • Bresful -- don't you just wish that you had as nice a 'radio' to play???? And also, he left the music ministry to travel to China in missions work, and so fulfilling the 'Great Commission' -- he's to be commended, not pitied.

  • @AllenJBlodgettJrmota I own that cd as well and am now 26 years old, but I received that cd well over 13 years ago and have listened to it THOUSANDS of times!! Best organ recording in the world in my opinion.

  • @mattsplace85 When Bellevue designed their new church, it was specifically designed to not have an organ. It was later added after some of the members missed the sound.

  • @AllenJBlodgettJrmota I own that recording of Clays and I think it superior in every way! Easily have listened to it over 1,000 times!

  • @AllenJBlodgettJrmota Yes he plays it the best I think

  • @brestull

lol....this one made my day. It is huge, it is grand, but it is an Allen. My old church back home had a 1970s era allen that still works to this day. They aren't terrible, but just are not my favorite. I also believe after hearing this, that the acoustics could be vastly improved. No doubt, a typical wall to wall carpeted auditorium. I will say that Mr. Lowther is a very skilled organist...a pity that he has left the ministry of music.

  • Nice radio he's playing there . . .

  • What website did you find it on? I tried looking for it but turned up empty handed

  • Hey pwll1268, last I checked this piece is still in print. It is in a book called Festive Hymn Arrangement by Robert Hebble. Its called Toccatino on "Festal Song".
