  • novice alert! So, Cornell, if you're using an Eminor flute but playing in Aminor does that mean you are just rooting on the A and avoiding the F# or using it as a "blue note" or am I lost? Beautiful, by the way. I've become a big fan of yours and Impending Bloom.

  • @therandall714 Glad you're liking the music! Thanks for the supportive words. Regarding the keys, you are on the right track. Difference between the collection of pitches in A-minor and E-minor (presuming natural minor) is only the Fn or F#. So, if you aren't using those notes, you're clear on whichever key instrument that the tune fits the range. The case of this tune, in A-minor, is that there is no F or F#, and the range of E to E is a perfect fit on the E-minor NAF.

  • It's a beautiful version in both instruments! It is one of my new favorite Christmas songs.

  • @jeannelyle Thank you Jeanne for dropping by to listen and comment. :-)

  • Very nice. Flute and piano sounded great. Was that flute in the key of G?

  • @lakecharlesfrankie Hello. Glad you like the sound. For this tune, I use an E-minor NAF, playing in A-minor.

  • Beautiful - Thanks.

  • Very nice. The instruments mix nicely -- I like the hat also

  • @cornellk Thanks for the reply Cornell. I thought there was something a little different that I was hearing. I was detecting a few notes I was not sure about. Thanks for the info. I love the sound. Thanks,,,Frank
