  • I know at some point, someone is going to ask this question on here so permit me to answer it now. =)

Q: When did the Close Lobsters have a female rhythm guitarist? Am I missing something?

A: They did not. The woman in question is a friend of Andrugh Burnett (singer) and was drafted in to appear in the video when guitarist Tom Donnelly was unable to make the shoot.

    You're welcome.

    Mark.

  • the mighty jazz butcher introducing the Lobs. A fine combination.

  • OMG! THE BUTCH... THE JAZZ BUTCH *flails arms franticly*

    (songs not bad either)

  • Dude, either put the sweater on, or just leave it. Great song, though.

  • I had heard that Fishy hosted a show but have never seen clips of it! this is priceless! thanks

  • @willyj51 No, she wasn't actually in the band. See my full answer below. :)

  • They had a woman on one of the guitars?! How I regret missing this band on their only US tour -- I waited and waited and even showed up at the club in Boston for their (postponed) date at TT The Bears. Then I had to move cross country in tears for having missed the rescheduled date. Fave band of the time, all 3 records brilliant (and still cheap to find).

  • we spent a weekend partying with these boys when they came to Minneapolis. Good, but crazy, guys. Some drunken hotel room destruction happened but mostly it was good natured fun. The shows were great. Main room 1st Ave the first night and 7th St Entry the second. Got the whole band and all of my friends into my car on the way to the CC club. That was crazy.

  • And now that I think about it - he in fact spells his first name Andrew. I don't know why I always want to spell it the other way.

    Sorry!

Nice to see this again by the way.

    M.
