Oh my :O I've been looking for this video for a while (although this is only a part of it /sad). @pres243 So to conclude my walls of text, whats wrong with 10 palas in BC? Almost everything LOL. Retadins being your main source of DPS was bad, they ran out of mana FAST, you can notice in the vid the paladin has to switch to shield + 1h mace and use Seal of Wisdom ( chance on hit to gain mana ) , using the seal + the quick attack speed of the 1h mace to get mana back because he went OOM. So 10 paladins doing a whole raid together was pretty big as they were the weakest class back then.

@pres243 Ret was the weakest spec in the whole game back then. Pretty much EVERY class of everyspec paid no attention to Retadins in PVP ( I played one offspec back then wiht my main spec being holy ) as they werent a big threat. They had no consistent DPS but instead had a unreliable " burst " damaging mechanic. Your DPS was based on your luck basically. That means no one used Ret for DPS in raids as any class would do better, as well as not providing any real benefit that other palas cant do.

@pres243 New to WoW I assume ? Never played BC or vanilla ? Before WOTLK Paladins were probably the most gimped class. only 1 and a half of their 3 trees ( Tank, healing and Damage dealing ) were working. Holy was the strongest obviously , second came Tanking. Tanking was so/so back then, if played extremely well Prot palas can do it right ( near the end of BC they were pretty good ) and then there was Ret. Ret was THE weakest tree IN THE GAME. ill continue in next post.
