Wow I wish it was the 80s again.

That Doolittle ad is goddamn ridiculous, especially considering what he's been up to since that hamfisted thing was produced. I guess bribery never goes out of date, either.
Completely unrelated - adding a 25 cent tax to a pack of cigarettes = gangs selling cigarettes = gangs buying guns and KILLING CHILDREN. Even the most hardline smoker could find that refuckingtarded.
I fucking love this vid!

God I want a Quarter Pounder now

Part of what makes watching a randomly selected bunch of old commercials so much fun is seeing what brands/products are still around and which are not.

Some of the Magical World of Disney clips were for Earth Star Voyager.

I now want to own an old school Bonneville SSE in mint condition.

"A shiPload of savings!" Whew, close one!

It's such an oxymoron...
McDonalds and athletes...like what athlete before competing for an event was gorging on McRibs?
-
According to Wikipedia, Prop 99 was to raise cigarette taxes. How was that supposed to lead to the murder of every child in California? And, since it passed, did gangs go on a violent rampage with all their new guns?
Today, that track ad would probably involve the heroic (white) American competing against someone sinister-looking from a Middle Eastern country.
I wonder if McDonald's ran that baby ad in future Olympics. I know it's been less than 22 years since I last saw it.

Mmmmmm.... '88. The year I was born. Ads were awesome back then! Cheesy as all hell but much better than the shite they play today
03:01 right a street gang is selling Cigarettes, more like hard street drugs.

@jbracer86 They sell cigarettes too. Gangs & traffickers buy cigarettes by the carton in states with low tax rates and re-sell them in states with high ones.
"According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the United States loses $5 billion in tax revenue every year from the trafficking of illegal cigarettes." -CNBC

For no4. Have you not seen the campaign ads today or something. I wish campaign ads of today were that simple.
TNTITAN 1 year ago
@TNTITAN Did you miss that the ad strongly implies that the other candidate is a communist? I agree that campaign ads today are out of hand, but that doesn't really make this one any less ridiculous.
