London-based, Jason Atomic sets the unofficial world portrait painting record of 42 full length portraits in one hour at the National Portrait Gallery in London 2008.
This is an unofficial record because Guinness BOR say they can't define what a portrait is.

  • these look fucking terrible. in art class we have to draw entire still lives in 10-20-30 seconds in detail. often times we have to draw people in under 20 seconds. and it has to look like them. i just dont see how this is so special

  • PORTRAIT PAINTING? cartoon scatching ! every graphic designer or Illustrator can beat that record in half the time. But glad you had a nice time.

  • @konzwambii My thoughts exactly. These "artists" that lack true artistic skill always resort to playing some ridiculous character. Because in reality they are not visual artists at all, but sleazy con artists.

  • Why not wear a long curled Dali mustache? That was a gimmick that worked for him. Cause with "talent" like that, you NEED a gimmick.

  • Big fART....Big fART...Big fART....!

  • A caricature is a portrait that exaggerates or distorts the essence of a person, animal or object to create an easily identifiable visual likeness. In literature, a caricature is a description of a person using exaggeration of some characteristics and oversimplification of others.(f'n wikipedia meaning of term)The term is derived from the Italian caricare—to charge or load. An early definition occurs in the English doctor Thomas Browne's Christian Morals, published posthumously in 1716

  • He's no Sergio Aragones, literally the World's Fastest Artist and much more skilled than this hack!

  • What is this? And why people are so excited about nothing?

  • I can make a better draw peeing in the wall :D

  • @lNDYFILM I agree, this sucks. It's more like cartoon caricatures than portraiture.

  • ils sont moche ces portraits !
