According to this protestant heretic the early Church fathers were twisterers, because they also considered St. Peter the head of the apostles and his successors as the heads of all bishops and patriarchs.

@hamlets7 we were on our 5th Pope when the last Apostle-John died @ the end of the 1st century-What does that say about the Papacy of Rome & the successors of Peter?
I can joyfully say i am going to my church today-Roman Catholic-Of course-& I am @ @ peace & love for Christ in the RCC. My fellow parishioners & I will receive the holy Eucharist-there is no greater closeness with Christ than this-while we are here on Earth.
I'm sorry you don't hold the fulness of truth.

Saint Peter d. AD 64?, most prominent of the Twelve Apostles, listed first in the Gospels, and traditionally the first bishop of Rome. His original name was Simon, but Jesus gave him the nickname Cephas [Aramaic, = rock], which was translated into Greek as Petros [Gr. petra = rock].

Catholicism

Catholicism
The Catholic Church traces its origins directly to the person and life of Jesus Christ. Therefore, any historical presentation of family life as it relates to the Catholic Church must go back two thousand years to the very dawn of Christianity. Scholars of this early period point to a major role played by the family in the life
and expansion of Christianity.
