@Jayme501 actually I think that mjs 1984 Motown 25th anniversary performance was the best. Or even the Beatles rooftop scene. Come on man.

I was 9 when this song was played for Diana and I still remember how devastating that whole situation was. This song can still make me cry.

@ lee8oi I can relate to your words, I was fresh out of H.S. and had just started college but I was too young to realize. Truly a beautiful and song.

I remember the news of diana. In those days I was a cold person. Didn't even bother to pay attention to this song even. But after so many years, and so many precious loved ones lost this song has a new light when I listen to it. Its beautiful honestly. Hats off to Elton for this moving farewell to England's Rose. And Goodbye Diana. Sorry it took me so long to realize your true value to this world.

The world stood still at that very moment... An ocean of tears were shed... You shall be missed, Lady Diana...

i would of loved to slash come out and stand on his piano and play wild horses
if you look close enough, you'll see the slight glistening in his eyes. Also, if you listen to him enough, you'll notice that his voice is shaking. He covered it very well. He's a strong man.

This has got to be considered as one of the greatest musical performances of the twentieth century.
