How can you look at this picture of Blackheart here and think Dormammu is any better? Yes, yes, in canon maybe Dormammu is quite strong but they're both made invalid by Shuma-Gorath who is notorious for sucking in these games. It's about the gameplay style and Dormammu is just an extremely bland zoner where Blackheart had his demons and Inferno pillars of varying strength and some genuinely awesome supers.

@freckleburger It does take some serious skill to use Dormammu if you can get in on Dormammu which isn't really hard then he is in serious trouble. he's also way too slow and if it wasn't for his buff he would be unusable.

@FOOLK1LLAH You don't zone Dormammu his projectiles have really good priority, plus he teleports. Oh and in case you didn't know his B and C moves nullify projectiles. His jump C and jump S go all around him and have priority equal to Wesker's jump S making him a crossup fiend. Also saying he is a monster in the right hands applies to anyone. As of UMvC3 he got a slew of buff the dude is pretty much S tier now, maybe not in vanilla though.

@freckleburger I'm afraid that Dormammu has too many weaknesses to be S tier. He's B tier at most. It's too easy to zone and he's too easy for fast characters to exploit. In the hands of a good player however I will not argue that he can become a monster
