Wow, you replied to a 4 year old comment! I think the Intellivision's graphics weren't much different than the Colecovision's, but the Colecovision and the Atari had a larger color palette. Which of course can make a vast visual difference. Either way, graphics don't make the game. And the Intellivision isn't best to me because of graphics, it's best because I feel it had the best original games, not just arcade ports.
@sinistermoon Intellivision's graphics weren't that different from the crappy graphics of the Atari 2600. ColecoVision had the best graphics at that time of any console.
By the time this commercial came out (about 1984) the video game market itself was pratically dead. Coleco made this offer to help encorage the sales of the Colecovision, and make Coleco look more like a family friendly company...This was a moderitly sucsesful campain but still the Colecovision or the dolls were not enough to save Coleco.

I love these old commercials, too bad they used a horrible codec and then compressed it to death. You can hardly tell what's going on.

Intellivision was way better!

My dad should have bought a Colecovision to get my Cabbage Patch kid instead of bashing people's heads in with a baseball bat at the toy store.
