FOREWORD

Dr. Duane T. Gish
Senior Vice President, Institute for Creation Research El Cajon, California 92021.
The book "True Science Agrees with the Bible" by Malcolm Bowden is another of his thoroughly researched, highly readable books on the vitally important subject of the Bible and science. When I started to read it, I found it hard to put down since he has included so many fascinating and important subjects in his book, many of which are not discussed in other works. As the reader will discover, Bowden covers a wide range of material, including a survey of Genesis, archaeological discoveries, the age of the earth, early British Christianity and the founding of Britain, and a critique of Einstein's theories of relativity, just to name a few. Bowden's position on a few subjects may be controversial, but he provides a careful, thorough defense of his acceptance or rejection of the subject in question. This book contains a wealth of material that will be of interest to scientists, pastors, students, and the average layman. We owe a great debt of gratitude to Malcolm Bowden for the countless hours he has spent in researching this material and assembling it in an enjoyable and easily readable form.
Malcolm Bowden lives in Bromley , Kent. (S.E. edge of London) He is a Chartered Consulting Civil and Structural Engineer (semi-retired) in his own sole practice. He is the author of four books on creation and has co-authored a fifth on True Biblical ounselling entitled Breakdowns are good for you. He has been lecturing on creation since 1968 in the UK, Europe and Russia, and is on the council and a trustee of the Creation Science Movement. Also interested in Christian doctrine, Scientific subjects, etc. and offers True Biblical Counselling by email or telephone. Married with three children and eight grandchildren. He is of Reformed faith and a member of Hayes Lane Grace Baptist church. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/malcolmbowden/indexx

The world's oldest known living tree, a conifer that first took root at the end of the last Ice Age, has been discovered in Sweden, researchers say.
The visible portion of the 13-foot-tall (4-meter-tall) "Christmas tree" isn't ancient, but its root system has been growing for 9,550 years, according to a team led by Leif Kullman, professor at Umeå University's department of ecology and environmental science in Sweden.
So this tree was growing before the earth was made?

What about the earths plates?
(this is secondary school stuff) The mid Atlantic ridge shows us that north and south america are moving away from the UK, Northern Europe and Africa. We can determine the time taken for the continents to move away from each other by measuring how long it takes for new crust to form on the sea floor. It has taken longer than 6000 years for the continents to separate.....don't you think?

@MissParasitology Oh and i forgot to mention, that the snow becomes compacted due to the pressure which builds up upon it, so you need to account for that when determining how long the Ice sheet took to form.

@prometheus882002 You can also observe year to year seasonal changes in Ice cores by observing the bands in the Ice cores. The bands will give a good indication of how deep 1 year is by looking at the separation of the bands. You can also look at the different types and abundance of microorganisms within these bands to observe climatic changes, for example during el nino years, there is a higher abundance of microorganisms.

@prometheus882002 Where do you drill!? An ice core is a vertical sample of compacted snow and ice which has accumulated following many years of snowfall. If you measure the time taken for 1m of snow to accumulate, and multiply that time frame by the depth of the ice sheet, it will give you a good indication of how long it took for the entire ice sheet to form.

@makingwaves4theVine3 In a vacuum it is always constant.

@basstrom188 The ice cores that I drill are aged based off of 100,000 years but they can be based off of any time frame. What you do is pick a time frame that you think is represented by the ice core and then take your measurements for that time span. Doesn't matter if you use 6000, 100000, 1000000, or 1000000000 you just adjust the core measurements to fit your story of history. There are many groups that use our ice core and they all have different ideas as to the time it represents lol.

I need to research the speed of light variability more; I had never heard of a change. I thought it was constant. Thank you for making these videos, by the way.

It seems strange that dendra-archaeology and ice cores can take us back over 100,000 years if the earth is only 6,000 years old
