There is an arrangement for British Brass Band by the conductor Luc Vertommen. In that version the intensity, the mood and the suspense shows more to advantage.
But great compliment to this performance. Respect!!

i played this last year for a city-wide percussion solo competition and got 3rd place ^_^ it's an awesome solo on the xylo

Ah, I asked because I live in Birmingham and about 2 years ago I performed this in an Orchestra. I left the Orchestra so just wondering whether you were also in the same group :)

lol I do, yes. Though I only moved here 2 months ago. I performed it in Northen Ireland with the South Ulster Youth Orchestra

And yes, fantastic performance!
Great form and excellent control. This is a hard piece to play at a fast tempo and keep it consistent. The only issue I have is that the piano may be a bit too loud.

Fantastic playing, my percussion friend and I are entering a concerto competition. He's playing that... eek! Don't think I'll get one, o well, that was brilliant :D
