This deserves to be remade on 3DS. That would be really cool!

@921144666 Any pair of LCD 3D Glasses with a jack will work with the adapter.

8:41 brings back so many memories, that was me constantly when I had this game.

@Glacier2030 Wow, you know--I never noticed Space Harrer II was actually a conversion of Space Harrier 3D. Granted I didn't play SH3D much. I remember I borrowed it from a friend but the glasses didn't work.

@2010string Oh thanks. I often wondered about it.

There is something kinda mysterious about this game.
When you access the sound test menu using the cheats, play the following soundtracks sequentially:7, 4, 3, 7, 4, 8 and then exit. a strange, hidden message will be displayed, anybody knows? what is it in aid of?

how did they get the rights to use tie fighters..lol loved this game. i have this i have the first one. i have the sequel on genesis and the port of part one for the gba on that genesis 4 pack.
you just cant judge whats gonna happen on this game, things in the distance are ok but as soon as objects come any closer they jump half the screen and smash into you, you just have no clue, still it stands miles over the 2d version

Totally agree. There are even cases where avoiding enemy fire is seemingly impossible, whereas you MUST destroy the enemy before it fires at you. Bosses do this too in the later levels. The boss at level 8 is a perfect example, as the final assault of his attack WILL hit you regardless of whether you are moving up or down. It must be dodged horizontally.
