  • la dessay es maravillosa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree with you, this is probably the best performance of the song ever made.

Many duets have made amazing vocal performances, but no one has also achieve such a clear and precise diction.

I guess no one has also sung Lakme so many times with different partners as Nathalie Dessay did, maybe except Mado Robin.

Anyway, thanks for posting it and in such a good audio quality !!!

  • Tout simplement enchanteur.... quel bonheur !

  • Juste:

     Magnifique

    "merci"

  • When I'm listening to this song, I close my eyes and imagine that I'm in another place where there was a garden full of beautiful flowers in the night...

  • @tedfin2004 No, they're probably listening to Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.

  • wonderfull!!!

  • thank you for uploading such a jewel !!!

  • I do not know what they are singing about, but not understanding the words in no way hinders me from enjoying this wonderful music. It is beautiful and makes me think of a perfect late afternoon in early summer, perhaps laying in a hammock in a garden somewhere enjoying the breeze and gazing at flowers.

Sorry to go on and be so corny but there it is! LOL!

  • Do people press the dislike button just to wind other others up or what? Im no opera expert but this really is lovely music.

  • This really is the best version ever. Perhaps because Dessay and Haidan are both french-speakers, and their diction is clear, which adds to the beauty of the piece. Most inspiring, though, are the comments that this piece inspires in all its different versions, especially here, where rudeness and disparagement are so often the order of the day.

My favourite is this one by kamelotfan23

"This is so wonderful....I have no words to accurately describe how this music makes me feel. Pure beauty."
