@theshadowofninjas Actually, we don't know what's inside atoms. Not completely, at least. There could be entire Universes inside every atom. If that is so, we run into the infinite regress thing. But with any explanation of the Universe's origins is the same "the next one and the next one".

@Losuol It is trying to recreate the big bang. Not trying to see whats inside atoms. we already know what is inside atoms. This thing is proven to be seriously dangerous. Next time just research the arguement a bit more, no offense.

HollowFootman is correct...the LHC has the potential to create minute black holes. Stephen Hawkings stated that there is high unlikelyhood that it would occur but if any did occur they would immidiately wink out of existence. The normal gravitational force of the earth would cause it to dissipate...the whole thing is just ppl with flawed physics knowledge scaremongering ppl....humans are sooo prone to speculation and unnessecary panic...its tradition
