I was highly honored to deliver this year's Veteran's Day ceremony speech at our Township's Veteran's Day Ceremony. We can never say thank you enough to our men and women who serve to protect our freedom and Liberty. Having the opportunity to put into words the very strong feelings of appreciation I have toward our Veterans is very humbling and I am forever grateful for the life they have afforded me and all members of the free world.

I wanted to upload this so that I may share these words with all Veterans- in every community in the U.S. Happy Veteran's Day!

(Pardon the poor video image)

Transcript of speech:

Each year on this day, we gather together to show our respect, our love and, above all, our appreciation to those men and women who have served their country with valiance and distinction.

And to those men and women whose bravery has stood on the front lines of freedom, what we honor today is the liberty we have every day.

Some have had the privilege of coming home to enjoy the fruits of their service. Others have paid the ultimate sacrifice, leaving a hero's legacy inscribed on the walls of our monuments, and embedded into our hearts and in our souls.

Each day brings us new opportunity. Each day offers the promise of Liberty; the inheritance of our forebears whose dream for a free society would lay the foundation for peaceful world.

So long as there are those who wish us harm, who would attack our way of life and whose intentions would serve to take away the freedoms we cherish and honor, there will always be a Veteran who has stood in their way.

And so, every day is Veteran's Day. For each day brings with it the freedoms we so value, the Liberty of mankind and the chance to show that no man or woman will ever have served in vein. And in the words of Elmer Davis, ""This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave."
