in future, there will probably be 2 or 3 currencies. euro for sure, dollar (big maybe) and one asian, if the big asian cuontries( S korea, japan, china, india) can make up there mind. many countries are already shifting to euro and away from the dollar. due to this crisis, smaller currencies cant hold themselves so more european countries want the euro. so while the euro is getting stronger, the dolalr is getting weaker. it may not even exist in 100 years
