Well, here we are a year into this. Yes, there have been other pressing issues. But has /anything/ happened? How can this man, this President, say that equality is the target and then demean us by saying we aren't deserving of full equality? MLK would be ashamed. I am ashamed. We need to demand better!

We aren't sinful, or reprobates, and we didn't choose this. We love in the same way, and with the same intensity that our heterosexual counterparts love their spouses. Why does your take on god give you the right to judge me for any of that?
If someone took away your right to wed, you'd fight it too.
And for the love of all that is good, if your going to be a christian never use the old testament examples, Romans 1:18-28 would have been a better choice. Not that I believe in any of that.

At any rate what you believe has no bearing on where my rights should begin. You want the right to go believe in your imagionary friend who lives in the sky, and go to church every sunday.
And I want the right to marry who I choose.
How does what I do effect you? You've never met me, nor does my life matter to you. Your antiquated religion should have no bearing on my rights as a human being to be with who I choose. This isn't a theocracy.

Do not be deceived by a book written centuries ago to control and manipulate the minds of men, women and children. free yourself from that nonsense, have a mind that is truly free to embark on scientific lines of enquiry, to enjoy the truth behind how we came to be and why we exist. I assure you the truth is far more beautiful than any nonsense you will read in a holy book. I hope you find the courage to do so. I wish you luck.
