KS4 Life Youth Media Team(Minisink Beacon Youth Council) interviews Council Woman Inez Dickens at DOE Hearingto stop Wadleigh Middle School from Closing. Thank you for your support Council Woman Inez Dickens.
On January 26, 2012 we stand together to support Wadleigh Middle School. Council Woman
Inez Dickens is still the encouraging, inspirational woman she always has been. Even as Eboni, Kid Reporter for KIDS S.A.V.E.D 4 Life News is totally impressed with her knowlegde and will to fight for what is right she takes the time to show our youth another reason why she is the Council Woman.
Counci lwoman Inez Dickens described the DOE's school closure process as "a mere formality. I stand firm in my opposition to a policy that disenfranchises our children,".
(KS4 Life) KIDS S.A.V.E.D 4 Life Youth Media Team brings you the new you need to see:
The Wadleigh Secondary High School for the Performing & Visual Arts is the only 6-12 secondary school in Harlem. The DOE's proposed clsure of the Middle School threatens Wadleigh's 111 year history and ability to offer a rich curriculum in the arts and academics. In summary, Wadleigh is the only Performing Arts High School in Harlem, and is an integral resource for our children. Wadleigh has made improvements despite approximately $650,000 budget cuts over the past 3 years. The truncation of Wadleigh's middle school along with the changes made last year to the middle school will hurt and not help Wadleigh and it's surrounding community. Support Our Neighborhood Schools, don't Close Them! Closing Harlem Schools Hurts The Harlem Community! With more funds we can be better! . Thank you for your support. Like this video and share it to help show support. Our school today, Your school may be tomorrow!
