do u clean the blade between cows, is this easy

The blood is just from an abscess. The cow probably felt a lot better when the pressure was relieved!

I believe that the mistakes being made on these hooves (one being removing excessive amounts of sole material) are similar to the mistakes many farriers make when trimming horse's hooves causing the need to shoe the hooves. Anytime you see blood dripping from a hoof, the farrier has gone too far. Now that hoof has to go off and stand in urine and manure. How is it possible that it doesn't become infected. This is really sickening for me to watch.

While it does kinda look painful, I bet in the long run the cows felt much better and were much healthier. It seems much quicker then the usual trimmers.

An impressive tool.

This video is very disturbing... It looks painful for the animal.
The cows shown in the video have an abscess under the hoof. This is very painful for the cow. Opening up the abscess and relieving the pressure is the first step in healing the hoof. Whats not shown on the video is the open area being medicated and then wrapped with a protective bandage. The video is demonstrating a tool that can trim the hoof without removing any more hoof material than is absolutely required. The hoof material is like your finger and toe nails it's just a lot thicker.
