Pictorially highlights two "Week of the Young Child" events that took place in April, 2011. Walk Around the Block highlighted the importance of child care at city hall. City Supervisors, parents, providers and children put on a press conference that was then followed by a "walk" around city hall. The second event, Jump Start For a Day, brought hundreds of children in early childhood education programs to the civic center plaza highlighting the importance and fun of literacy.
