Ohio Valley Dragway - 3/27/2010
2006 six-speed LS2 GTO (440 rwhp): Ed Curtis custom cam (232/236 .615/.610 113), SLP UD Pulley Ported LS2 manifold, Vararam CAI, Kooks Sig Series LT Headers, Magnaflow catback, GMM Ripshift, Monster Level 4 Clutch, MT ET Strees (bias ply)
NIck's Cobra (532 rwhp) - Posi Ported Blower (17 psi), Ported lower intake, H-pipe, Bassini Exhaust, 2.9 upper, 6lb lower, Custom tune, Street Tires
This was the Cobra's first time to the track, and the street tires gave traction problems in 1st and 2nd.
I launched the GTO at about 5000 RPM's and spun out of the hole (you can the pre-launch revs). It is clearly visable where it hooked about 30 ft out. This was the 1st time on slicks and the track doesn't allow burnouts for street cars. This was with 17 psi on the slicks. My hand slipped off the shifter on the 1-2 shift contributing to the low trap speed.
GTO: 8.52 @ 86 on a 2.05 60'
Cobra: 9.22 @ 89 on a 2.5+ 60'
my 480 rwhp cobra goes 8 flat...
