Incoming tweets become part of plants representing topics within the discussion. Tweets that talk about similar things are grouped together on branches, while new thoughts are planted as seeds on the surface of the sphere -- waiting to grow. Plants grow like real plants in nature, competing for space. Topics emerge and wither as trends shift within the discussion. A twitter login allows users to post directly into the system and keep track of contributions in the constantly evolving environment.

The award winning ECOSPHERE Project debuted in November 2011, covering the global discussion around The UN Cop17 Conference on Climate Change. This year the ECOSPHERE regenerates to serve as a platform addressing Sustainable Development -- in conjunction with the UN RIO Plus 20 Conference June 20-22, 2012.
