yeah, the girls left on the bench are those that didnt make the 2004 us team.

yeah they were russian, and russia had really been DOMINATING the gymnastics scene only a few olympics before plus they were a dynamite team who could have easily won gold if they'd managed all of their routines so second place was a really disapointing finish because there had been such high expectations of them.

what is the end clip? are those the girls who didn't make the Olympic team?

Actually, the girls who taking off their medals are not from Ukraine but from Russia. It was in Sydney when they placed 2nde in the team final... It was a big desapointement for Russia.

I've noticed in a lot of gymnastics montages there are clips of the Ukraine (sp) girls I think it is, taking off their medals. I'm sure I saw those game but why were they taking them off? Were they make about what place they got?
