@tutmankingasher The decree forbidding females to read from the Torah and other parts of the Tanakh in synagogues is post-Talmudic and was made in order to elliminate female "competition" (some females put their male counterparts to shame in their reading prowess).
The other decree forbbiding females to sing and raise voices in prayer is definitely unheard of in the Mishnah.

The decree forbidding females to sing in front of men is in the gemara. It is called Kol Isha.
