Shimmer NADAC 12/27-12/28

we got to meet kristen and kayla!

SATURDAY
Open Touch and Go
this was great-didnt hold her startline so that she would purposely have drive for that dogwalk and it worked well

Open Chances
shimmer is so used to working away from me well but she was still so excited and i didnt signal her right-she did great though

Elite Regular Round 1
she was such an awesome girlie-EAC!!!

Open Jumpers
we got a bit sniffy but ended up getting some speed-OJC...elite jumpers here we come? oh my goodness..haha

Elite Regular Round 2
she was doing so well and has such rhythm dogs werent supposed to come in until jump 16 was taken..the lady walked in wayyy early and shimmer saw the other dog when you can clearly see i did not lift my arm in any way to show her to take the wrong jump..i didnt ask for a rerun i just wanted the judge to make sure people didnt keep doing that but he said it would be called as me telling my dog the wrong way to go... some people...oi =/

Open Weavers
she did excellent-we all know how much shimmy hates 6 weaves but she did them anyway-if we keep going like this we will be out of open weavers and get both sets of weaves as 12 =)

SUNDAY
Elite Regular Round 1
it was raining and she peed 2 times..but decided to be a butt and not poop...so we thought the ring was better for pooping..needless to say i took her out afterwards and made sure she did her business-poor shimmy lol

Elite Regular Round 2
what is it with us Qing in round 1 saturdays and round 2 on sundays? strange..oh well this marked our 4th elite regular Q..only 19 more to go for that NATCH? haha yeahh...

Open Hoopers
I still dont like hoopers but this was a 3-2-1 rule meaning first hoops you had to do 3 then challenge then 2 hoops and challenge and 1 hoop and challenge she had some nice speed but i could have handled better yay shimmy!!

Open Chances
wow-didn't think we'd make it only half got filmed...sorry about that she was a veryyy good girl and did so well with her aframe contact only 2 more for that OCC...and then..not even thinking about elite chances yet haha

Open Jumpers
since new hope doesnt allow for move ups we were still in open jumpers on sunday but got another Q which marked a VERY special occasion for us..but you guys wont find out about that until late next year.. hehehehe =] kristen and kayla definitely know what im talking about

Open Tunnelers
poor shimmy girl...this was sooooo mommy's fault..i front crossed so late and caused that off course despite that little mishap she did soo well keeping her lovely speed and finishing 2nd place out of 4 dogs =D

all in all the weekend was a really nice one with huge milestones; a lot of people we remember from our first ever show were there and gave us a lot of lovely compliments and encouraging words-thanks to all those people-shimmer has worked very hard and i couldnt be luckier to have a dog like her-for a first agility dog without classes..shes not half bad ; ) love my pookyyy

Man she's amazing! She's sooo cute too! You two are such a great team! How'd you train her weaves? She like, never pops out of 12!

thanks-trust me she does i had them upright and lured her for a while but used WAM to gain speed.. shes popped out before but is usually consistent at shows

Yeah, Mika used to pop out a lot while we were training and was consistent at trials, but lately she's been popping at trials and missing some entries. She's getting better though, we just have to practice as much as possible.

i know what kristen with kayla did was have her weave a set of 16 instead of 12 and that way even if she did pop out chances were it was after the 12th pole that might help for you guys but im sure you'll do fine

shimmer was great congrats on her EAC and her OJC! i loved it when she started to bark at the begging so cute! =) In her first run the dw was amazing she had great speed and i looked like she wasent scared at all! Congrats on the other Q'S!
