Handling a 117 lb dumbbell like this shows creditable strength regardless of handle thickness. If it is a thick handle then so much more so.

1" long - how the hell would I get my hand on it if it was 1" long? Man oh man. It's about 4.5 inches long and 2 and 3/8ths of an inch thick.

The actual inch bell is like 245# with a 2.5 inch diameter handle. A lot surrounding it is unconfirmed.
