There was also Rita by the Fabulous Four & Rita by the Centuries. The Rita I was referring to was Rita by the "Latars" (unreleased acapella). It has sort of a haunting sound to it. The recording quality was not the best but one can still hear all the vocal parts. It was recorded in the 50's and put out in the 70's on the Monogram record label. As soon as I get a copy of it I'll post it.

The only Rita songs I can think of are Remember Rita by The Barons and Rita by The Four Dots.. Both of those were released and not acapella though

It sounds similar to a demo of an acapella tune I heard called "Rita" but I can't think of the group. Interesting west coast sound.
