I was planning on writing a long, drawn-out explanation as to why ditching Brucas for Leyton was by far, the worst move the writers of this show ever made. But it really does speak for itself, it's obvious. The events of Season 6 have pretty much confirmed that Brucas is never coming back, but that doesn't change the fact that Leyton being endgame is an absolute tragedy.
I'm fully convinced that if Chad and Sophia never divorced and if Bryan Greenberg (Jake) agreed to become a main character after Season 2 like he was offered, Brooke would have been the girl Lucas saved in the library. Brooke would have been the girl Lucas kissed after the State Championship. Brooke would have gone with Lucas to prom. Brooke would have been the girl Lucas proposed to the first time. Brooke would have been the girl who came back to Tree Hill years later for Lucas. Brooke would have been the girl who watched Lucas almost marry Lindsey. Brooke would have been the girl who the two books were written about. And Brooke would have been the girl who Lucas found his way back to.
Brucas is gone and probably never coming back, but their memory will live on. And I will never forget the couple who made One Tree Hill my favorite show.

It's destiny and it sucks it was rewritten with the leyton crap. It should have always been Nayley, Bruacs and Jeyton, and that little speech to the side you wrote about Brooke would have done all the things Peyton did made me a little sad.
It's such a shame such a great couple was thrown away because of a real life marriage disaster, and Mark then calling it quits on the couple!
I mean this obviously shows they had Brucas as endgame. Well they always will be for me =)
