Even the worlds no. 1 golfer still does it! I'm told this is from the 2006 Cialis Western Open.

  • A shank is any time the ball makes contact with the shaft/hosel of the club you idiots; it is NOT a relative term. NYgolfer if you think Faldo doesn't know what a shank is you're smoking crack.

  • the only shank i care about is in the fucking oven... i love lamb.

  • what was TheNYgolfer's comment?

  • Simple- just shank aiming left. That was really a shank though. Think about it- will the ball ALWAYS turn out the same hitting such a diverse part of the club(hosel). Really- you are lucky if you get that and not hit in the face.

  • hes human

  • I'll agree...100% shankapontamus here. but viewers gotta know that the commentators gotta make a comment to every bad shot that is hit on tv especially one of this magnitude. but nick is beefing this shot up like tiger bowed his wrist like dustin johnson or something which is def not the case. 9 out of 10 times, Tiger hits this ball the way he wants to and of course this being the one that isn't what he intended.

  • his swing is still better than mine. probably even went further than mines if i were to hit the same iron. HAHAHA!

  • @TheNYgolfer - Yep, six-time major champion Nick Faldo needs to learn golf-ball aerodynamics. You're the guy calling a left-to-right ball movement from a right-handed player a draw... keep responding, I'm having fun making you look stupid.

  • @beseriousplease u like faldo need to learn golf ball aerodynamics *Lol*

  • @TheNYgolfer - lol no, and no, and another no. 1- Its was a shank. 2- it was fading/slicing, not drawing, 3- He said fore-right because he shanked it, and shanked shots typically go right because of the hosel making contact with the left-side of the ball, which sends it right immediately with a clockwise spin. I hope you're trolling me, at least then you wouldn't be retarded :)

  • @beseriousplease anyone that knows golf knows that this was not a shank. If I could hit a ball with that trajectory and with the little bid of draw that this shot had I'll let sir faldo call it a shank all day long. That ball went fore right because it ricochet off the tree limb.
